Circuit Description

The automatic level control sensor monitors the accessory inflator valve circuit for a short to ground, or an open circuit.

DTC Descriptor

This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:

DTC 011 Accessory Inflator Valve Circuit

Conditions for Running the DTC

The ignition is ON.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

    • Open in control circuit of the accessory inflator valve
    • Short to ground in the control circuit of the accessory inflator valve
    • A malfunctioning accessory inflator valve

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

    • The automatic level control sensor disables inflator functions.
    • Leveling functions shall continue.
    • The automatic level control sensor will recheck the accessory inflator valve circuitry periodically.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The conditions that caused the DTC to set have been removed.

Diagnostic Aids

When this DTC occurs, DTCs 032 and 033 will be set.

Test Description

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.

  1. This step tests for voltage at the coil side of the accessory inflator valve. The ELC relay fuse supplies power to the coil side of the accessory inflator valve.

  2. This step verifies that the height sensor is providing ground to the accessory inflator valve.

  3. This step tests if ground is constantly being applied to the accessory inflator valve.

  4. This step verifies that the automatic level control sensor is self tested after replacement.
