SUBJECT: WARRANTY ADMINISTRATION - LABOR TIME GUIDE "REQUESTS FOR REVIEW" UPDATES

MODELS: 1989-97 PASSENGER CARS AND TRUCKS

IN AN EFFORT TO PROVIDE THE MOST CURRENT LABOR TIME INFORMATION TO GENERAL MOTORS DEALERS, THIS BULLETIN ADDRESSES CHANGES TO THE PUBLISHED GENERAL MOTORS LABOR TIME GUIDES. THESE CHANGES (SEE ATTACHMENTS 1 - 25) ARE THE RESULT OF DEALER "REQUESTS FOR REVIEW" BEING HANDLED BY THE SERVICE TECHNOLOGY GROUP.

1997 Z7000 PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION ALLOWANCE -

ALL 1997 PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION TIMES WILL BE CARRIED OVER FROM 1996. THE "ADD" CONDITION FOR S/T TRUCK FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE REAR LICENSE BRACKET (WITHOUT VF6 OPTION) AT .2 HRS. WILL BE OMITTED SINCE IT NO LONGER APPLIES. FOR THOSE STATES/PROVINCES THAT REQUIRE FRONT LICENSE PLATE BRACKETS, THE INSTALLATION IS INCLUDED IN THE BASE PDI TIME.
