SERPENTINE BELT TENSION SERVICE MANUAL REVISION

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1985 Models Equipped with 2.8L V-6 Engine (VIN Code W) (Section No. 6A) -----------------------------------------

Serpentine belt tension specification is incorrectly listed in the 1985 Chassis Service Manual, for the 2.8L engine.

The correct specification per the illustration is:

New serpentine belt 122 N.m (90 lbs. ft.), used serpentine belt 88 N.m.(65 lbs. ft.).

Please correct your Chassis Service Manual accordingly.
