OIL FILTER BYPASS VALVE 2.5L L4 ENGINE

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1980-1985 'A', 'F', 'N', 'X', and 'P' (Re-released to update vehicles affected -Previously released as 83-6-19)

Whenever a repair requires replacement of the engine block, it will be necessary to remove the oil filter bypass valve assembly and reinstall it in the new block. If a new oil filter bypass check valve assembly is required, it will be necessary to order Part Number 25010497 through GMWDD. Refer to Figure.
