FINAL DRIVE CASE BUSHING REPLACEMENT 125/125C THMS

MODELS AFFECTED: ALL THM 125/125-C TRANSAXLES

When servicing any THM 125/125-C transaxle that necessitates the replacement of the final drive assembly, inspect the case bushing for signs of wear or scoring.

Whenever the case bushing shows signs of wear or scoring, it must be replaced. Follow the service procedure given below:

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. The transmission must be disassembled.

2. Remove the right axle seal assembly from the transmission case.

3. Following guidelines given in your service manual, remove the worn bushing and replace it with a new bushing (Part No. 8631119).

4. Inspect the case and bushing for burrs and loose aluminum. Remove all loose material.

5. Install a new right hand axle seal assembly (Part No. 8643%2).

6. Reassemble the entire transaxle following guidelines given in your service manual.
