LABOR TIME GUIDE NUMBERS PARTS FOR DSM SCRAPPING W/CCC

THE FOLLOWING OPERATIONS REQUIRE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF THE CARBURETOR AIR HORN WHICH NECESSITATES THE REPLACEMENT OF THE AIR HORN GASKET. THESE GASKETS MUST BE REPLACED AND RETAINED FOR SCRAPPING BY THE DSM WHENEVER THESE OPERATION NUMBERS ARE USED:

J5030 GASKET, CARBURETOR AIR HORN - REPLACE J5040 AIR HORN, CARBURETOR - REPLACE J5050 FLOAT, CARBURETOR - ADJUST J5060 FLOAT, CARBURETOR - REPLACE J5070 NEEDLE AND SEAT, CARBURETOR - REPLACE J5080 PUMP, CARBURETOR, ACCELERATOR - REPLACE J5090 JETS, MAIN METERING - REPLACE J5306 CARBURETOR - INTERNAL ADJUSTMENTS J6362 MIXTURE CONTROL SOLENOID - REPLACE J6374 TPS - REPLACE

THE FOLLOWING OPERATIONS REQUIRE THE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF THE CARBURETOR AND WOULD NECESSITATE THE REPLACEMENT OF THE THROTTLE BODY GASKET:

J5100 BOWL, CARBURETOR FLOAT - REPLACE J5115 GASKET, CARBURETOR THROTTLE BODY - REPLACE J5120 THROTTLE BODY, CARBURETOR - REPLACE J5125 GASKET, CARBURETOR BASE - REPLACE J5140 CARBURETOR - REPLACE J5309 IDLE MIXTURE CHECK

THE MAJORITY OF BUICK ENGINES USE THE EARLY FUEL EVAPORATION GRID UNDER THE CARBURETOR AND DO NOT USE A BASE GASKET. IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO REPLACE THE EFE GRID EACH TIME THE CARBURETOR IS REMOVED; THE EFE GRID SHOULD ONLY BE REPLACED WHEN INOPERATIVE OR DAMAGED.
