INTERMITTENT OR IN-OPERATIVE CENTER HIGH MOUNTED STOP LAMP

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1988 J-37, A-37 AND BUICK REATTA

If an intermittent or in-operative center high mounted stop lamp due to a heat distorted socket is encountered in a J-37, A-37 or Buick Reatta, both sockets must be installed using part number 5972532 available from GMPARTS. All service stock of this part uses a new heat resistant material. The production stock was corrected beginning with the following VIN Breakpoints:

Oldsmobile: JG307649 J9367993 J2336554

Pontiac: J7544390

Chevrolet: J7163799 JJ187909
