INADEQUATE WINDSHIELD DEFROST (INSTALL REVISED GRILL)

SUBJECT: INADEQUATE WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER PERFORMANCE (INSTALL REVISED GRILLE)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1991 - 1992 B-CAR

Condition:

---------- Inadequate windshield defroster performance.

Cause:

------- Inadequate air flow to the base of the windshield.

Correction:

----------- Install revised defroster grille.

Information and Part Numbers:

The clean VIN breakpoint should be any vehicle built on or after May 6, 1991. However, some vehicles built before this date may have the revised defroster grille. The revised grille may be identified by the vertical vanes measuring 12 mm (15/32") in height versus 5 mm (9/32") on the older grille.

The build date is located on a label on the rear of the left hand door.

The following is a list of the revised Defroster Grille Assembly part numbers by usage and colour.
