DIM GEAR INDICATOR LIGHT OR REPEAT FAILURE (INCORRECT P/N)

MODELS AFFECTED: 1986-1988 RIVIERAS

On Some 1986-88 Rivieras the gear indicator light assembly, after an initial repair, may either appear dim or fail repeatedly.

These conditions may be caused by incorrect service parts use. The 1987-88 electroluminescent inverter is not compatible with the 1986 gear indicator light assembly. This incorrect parts combination may cause indicator light dimness. Also, the 1986 inverter is not compatible with the 1987-88 gear indicator light assembly. This incorrpect parts combination may cause indicator light assembly failure.

To repair either of these conditions, use the appropriate replacement part numbers listed below:
