CYLINDER HEAD GASKET INFORMATION

NOTICE: THIS BULLETIN SUPERCEDES THE ORIGINAL BULLETIN 82-T-84 TO CORRECT PART NUMBER 25515889. PLEASE DISCARD ORIGINAL BULLETIN AND REPLACE IT WITH THIS ONE. A NEW HEAD GASKET, WITH IMPROVED SEALING CAPABILITIES, IS AVAILABLE FROM WDDGM UNDER PART NUMBER 25515792. IT MUST BE INSTALLED WITHOUT THE USE OF ADDITIONAL SEALER OR ADHESIVES. THIS GASKET, BLUE IN COLOR, WILL ALSO BE INCLUDED IN RELATED ENGINE AND CYLINDER HEAD OVERHAUL GASKET SETS ORDERED IN THE FUTURE (PART NUMBERS 25515887 AND 25515889 RESPECTIVELY). AT GASKET INSTALLATION, THE CYLINDER HEAD BOLTS ARE TO BE TORQUED TO 108 N.M (80 FT. LBS.) IN THE SEQUENCE SHOWN ON PAGE 6A1-5 OF THE 1982 SERVICE MANUAL.
