PAINT INFORMATION AND AVAILABILITY OF COLORS

THE LISTING OF 1981 PAINT CODES CONTAINED IN THIS BULLETIN WILL HELP ENABLE DEALERS TO ORDER THE NECESSARY PAINT MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PRE- DELIVERY PREPARATION.

THE LIST OF COLORS INDICATES THE SUPPLIERS' ORDERING CODES FOR EXTERIOR, IN- TERIOR, STRIPING, VINYL ROOF, AND PAINTED MOLDING COLORS. THE LIST ALSO IDENTIFIES THOSE MATERIALS THAT ARE CARRYOVER IN EACH AREA FROM THE 1980 MATERIALS.

THREE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT PAINT SUPPLIERS (DITZLER, DUPONT, AND RINSHED-MASON) HAVE INDICATED THAT THERE ARE ADEQUATE STOCKS OF 1981 MODEL COLORS IN EACH OF THEIR FIELD WAREHOUSES OR REGIONAL DISTRIBUTORS.

IT IS SUGGESTED THAT ORDERS FOR INITIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE 1981 MODEL COLORS BE PLACED PROMPTLY.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
