Front/Rear Door Window Glass Wont Roll Up or Is Out of Channel (Replace Guide)

Some customers may comment that a door window glass won't roll up or it is out of the channel.

The window run channel guide(s) may have broken.

1. Remove the front window regulator. Refer to SI Document ID #628692 Front Door, Rear Door #628695.
2. Remove the door glass from the door.
3. Inspect the regulator for damage.




Important: When removing the cable from the guide, take care not to damage (kink, cut or fray) the cable.

4. If the regulator is OK, remove the cable from the guide as shown.



5. Rotate the guide to remove it from the run channel.
6. Install the new guide in the same manner as it was removed.
7. Install the cable into the guide.
8. Install the window regulator. Refer to SI Document ID #628692 Front Door, Rear Door #628695.
9. Verify the window operation.

*Both part numbers should be replaced at time of repair per door.
