Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 791874  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Trim Plate Replacement .
  2. Remove the I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 791878  Size: SH
  4. Remove the bolts from the switch assembly.

  5. Object Number: 791879  Size: SH
  6. Remove the electrical connectors from the switch assembly.
  7. Remove the switch assembly.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the electrical connections to the switch assembly.

  2. Object Number: 791878  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bolts to the switch assembly of the rear object alarm module.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 2 N·m (18 lb in)

  5. Install the I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement .
  6. Install the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Trim Plate Replacement .
