Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 621893  Size: SH
  1. Remove the endgate trim panel. Refer to Endgate Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the endgate water deflector. Refer to Endgate Water Deflector Replacement .
  3. Remove the endgate handle rod from the endgate bellcrank.
  4. Remove the endgate latch rods from the endgate bellcrank.

  6. Remove the bolts from the bellcrank to the endgate.

  7. Object Number: 621891  Size: SH
  8. Remove the endgate bellcrank from the endgate.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the bellcrank to the endgate.

  2. Object Number: 621892  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bolts to the bellcrank to the endgate.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the endgate bellcrank bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the endgate latch rods to the bellcrank.
  6. Install the endgate latch handle rod to the bellcrank.
  7. Install the endgate water deflector. Refer to Endgate Water Deflector Replacement .
  8. Install the endgate trim panel. Refer to Endgate Trim Panel Replacement .
