Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 621979 Size: SH
  1. Open the hood.
  2. Remove the engine coolant heater harness from the front fender diagonal brace, if equipped.

    3. Object Number: 621975 Size: SH
  3. Reposition the engine coolant reservoir from the front fender diagonal brace. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 625105 Size: SH
  4. If equipped, reposition the cruise control module from the front fender diagonal brace. Refer to Cruise Control Module Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 621973 Size: SH
  5. Remove the front end sheet metal diagonal brace to the inner fender bolt.
  6. Remove the front end sheet metal diagonal brace to radiator support bolts.

    7. Object Number: 621978 Size: SH
  7. Remove the front end sheet metal diagonal brace.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 621978 Size: SH
  1. Position the front end sheet metal diagonal brace to the radiator support and to the inner fender.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 621973 Size: SH
  2. Install the bolts to the front end sheet metal diagonal brace at the radiator support.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the front end sheet metal diagonal brace at radiator support bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the bolts to the front end sheet metal diagonal brace at the inner fender.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the front end sheet metal diagonal brace to the inner fender bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. If removed, reposition the cruise control module to the front fender diagonal brace. Refer to Cruise Control Module Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 621975 Size: SH
  5. Reposition the engine coolant reservoir to the front fender diagonal brace. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement .

    6. Object Number: 621979 Size: SH
  6. Install the engine coolant heater harness to the front fender diagonal brace, if equipped.
  7. Close the hood.
