The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Contact between the Rendezvous Accessories Trailer Hitch Package (GM P/N 12499809) and the vehicle's exhaust system may be present. This issue is a result of vehicle build variation and a revision to the exhaust system routing to eliminate contact with a body side rail bracket.

Adjustment to the rear most exhaust system hanger bracket may be required to eliminate contact and create clearance between the trailer hitch and exhaust system.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
