Effective February 1, 2003, GM Service and Parts Operations will begin using
the new Labor Time Guide as a replacement for the current Adobe Acrobat version. The
new LTG will function like the Service Information (SI) software application and will
include keyword search capability. Content will include current year and five (5)
years back.
Mid January, a two (2) CD set will be shipped to all dealerships, attention
Service Manager and Warranty Administrator. The new LTG will need to be loaded to
a PC with the following minimum specifications:
| • | Windows 98 (Second Edition) |
| • | 1 GB drive space available |
| • | Internet Explorer 5.5 (SP2) or Netscape Navigator 4.5 |
Important: The new LTG is not intended to play on a PC where Service Information (SI) is
already loaded. The new LTG application is for warranty administration.
A different version of the new LTG will be integrated into SI at a later date.
A reminder to prepare for the new LTG will be sent to all dealers in early January.
