Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement Base

1. Remove cover cap (1) from the front side door.

Using a small flat-bladed tool, release the cover cap from the front side door.




2. Remove the front side door outside handle from the front side door.

•	Pull the front side door outside handle (2) outwards and hold.

•	Turn fastener (1) to the left and to the mechanical stop.

Note: Front side door outside handle (2) must now be secured in pulled position.




3. Remove fixed rear handle part (1).



4. Pull the front side door outside handle (1) to the rear and remove.

1. Install the front side door outside handle.

•	Guide front side door outside handle into front side door panel and latch door handle cage.

•	Insert fixed front handle part.

•	Turn fastener to the right and to the mechanical stop.

Note: Hold the front side door outside handle taut while screwing and lightly counterhold fixed handle part.

2. Install the cover cap into front side door.

Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement Passive Entry Passive Start

1. Remove the front side door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement.
2. Move the window to the full up position.
3. If necessary disconnect the ignition lock key transmitter antenna electrical connector.



4. Remove cover cap (1) from the front side door.

Using a small flat-bladed tool, release the cover cap from the front side door.




5. Remove the front side door outside handle from the front side door.

•	Pull the front side door outside handle (2) outwards and hold.

•	Turn fastener (1) to the left and to the mechanical stop.

Note: Front side door outside handle (2) must now be secured in pulled position.




6. Remove fixed rear handle part (1).



7. Pull the front side door outside handle (1) to the rear and remove.

1. Install the front side door outside handle.

•	Guide front side door outside handle into front side door panel and latch door handle cage.

•	Insert fixed front handle part.

•	Turn fastener to the right and to the mechanical stop.

Note: Hold the front side door outside handle taut while screwing and lightly counterhold fixed handle part.

•	Connect the ignition lock key transmitter antenna electrical connector.

2. Install the cover cap into front side door.
