Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 604202  Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  2. Slide the sound barrier out from under the upper quarter panel trim.
  3. Pull the sound barrier forward to access the tether bolts.
  4. Remove the child seat tether bracket to rear shelf bolts.
  5. Remove the child seat tether brackets from the rear shelf.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 604202  Size: SH
  1. Install the child seat tether brackets to the slots in the rear shelf.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the child seat tether bracket to rear shelf bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the child seat tether bracket to rear shelf bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  5. Push the sound barrier back into its origional position.
  6. Install the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
