Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 371958 Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear seat cushion and rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  2. Remove the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. If removing either side retractor, remove the rear quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  4. If removing either side retractor, remove the retractor anchor bolt from the floorpan.
  5. Remove the rear window trim panel, as required. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Remove the rear sound barrier, as required. Refer to Rear Seat Back Sound Barrier Replacement in Interior Trim.

  7. Remove the rear seat belt retractor bolt .
  8. Remove the rear seat belt retractor from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 371958 Size: SH
  1. Install the rear seat belt retractor to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Important: Be sure to seat the alignment tabs.

  2. Install the rear seat belt retractor bolt.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat belt retractor bolt to 68 N·m (50 lb ft).

  3. Install the rear sound barrier. Refer to Rear Seat Back Sound Barrier Replacement in Interior Trim.
  4. Install the rear window trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Install the rear seat belt retractor anchor bolt to the floorpan.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat belt retractor bolt to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  6. Install the rear quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  7. Install the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  8. Install the rear seat cushion and rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
