Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 157286  Size: SH
  1. Open the seat belt guide loop cover.
  2. Remove the guide loop nut.
  3. Remove the guide loop from the guide adjuster bracket.
  4. Remove the center pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Remove the shoulder belt guide adjuster bracket bolts.
  6. Remove the shoulder belt guide adjuster bracket from the center pillar.

Installation Procedure

    Important: Verify that the release lever at the top of the bracket is in the full up position.

  1. Position shoulder belt guide adjuster bracket to the center pillar.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the shoulder belt guide belt adjuster bracket bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the shoulder belt guide adjuster bracket bolts to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  5. Install the upper center pillar trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Install the guide loop to the guide adjuster bracket.
  7. Install the guide loop nut.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the guide loop nut to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  9. Close the guide loop cover.
