Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 182389 Size: SH
  1. Open the hood.
  2. Apply light pressure to the headlamp lens to hold the headlamp in place while removing the retainers.
  3. Lift up the headlamp retainers to release, then remove the retainers.
  4. Remove the headlamp mounting tabs from the slots in the upper fascia support and the fender reinforcement.

  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp.
  6. Remove the headlamp.

  7. Remove the rubber access covers from behind the headlamp bulb/sockets to be replaced.

    8. Caution: Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal injury:

       • Turn off the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing the bulb.
       • Leave the lamp switch OFF until the bulb change is complete.
       • Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb.
       • Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass.
       • Keep dirt and moisture off the bulb.
       • Properly dispose of the used bulb.
       • Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach of children.

  8. Rotate the headlamp bulb/socket counterclockwise to release.
  9. Remove the headlamp bulb/socket from the headlamp.

  10. Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp bulb/socket.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector to the headlamp bulb/socket.

    2. Object Number: 623839 Size: SH
  2. Install the headlamp bulb/socket to the headlamp.
  3. Rotate the headlamp bulb/socket clockwise until fully seated.

    4. Object Number: 623845 Size: SH
  4. Install the rubber access covers to the headlamp.

    5. Object Number: 182398 Size: SH
  5. Connect the electrical connector to the headlamp.

    6. Object Number: 182389 Size: SH
  6. Position the headlamp mounting tabs to the slots in the upper fascia support and the fender reinforcement.
  7. Apply light pressure to the headlamp lens to hold the headlamp in place while installing the retainers.
  8. Align the headlamp retainers over the headlamp mounting tabs, then press the retainers down until fully seated.
  9. Inspect the headlamp for proper fit.
  10. Check the headlamp aim, if a new headlamp was installed, or if service or repairs in the front end area may have disturbed the headlamp mounting brackets. Refer to Headlamp Aiming .
  11. Close the hood.
