Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 740663  Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts (1) that retain the fascia support rods (2) to the impact bar (5).
  4. Remove the fascia support rods from the impact bar.

  5. Object Number: 740662  Size: SH
  6. Remove the bolts (1) that retain the impact bar to the frame (2).
  7. Remove the impact bar (3) from the frame.
  8. Remove the tow hooks from the impact bar. Refer to Front Tow Hook Replacement .

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the tow hooks to the impact bar. Refer to Front Tow Hook Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 740662  Size: SH
  3. Position the impact bar (3) to the frame (2).
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the bolts (1) that retain the impact bar to the frame.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 85 N·m (63 lb ft).

  7. Position the fascia support rods (2) to the impact bar (5).
  8. Install the bolts (2) which retain the fascia support rods to the impact bar.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  10. Install the front fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
