Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 258246  Size: SH
  3. Remove the lap belt bolts (3).
  4. Remove the lap belts.
  5. Lift the seatback (1) upward in order to release the guide wires from the hooks (2) and the body slot.
  6. Important: On seatbacks with pass-through, remove the 2 retainers in the trunk that are secured near the pass-through opening.

  7. Remove the seatback (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seatback (1).
  2. Connect the guide wires into the hooks (2).
  3. Install the lap belts.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the lap belt bolts (3).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the lap belt bolts to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).

  7. On the seatbacks with pass-through, install the 2 retainers in the trunk that secure to the armrest near the pass-through opening.
  8. Install the seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
