Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 869198  Size: SH
  3. Remove the air cleaner element cover wing screws.
  4. Remove the air cleaner element cover.
  5. Remove the air cleaner element from the air cleaner assembly.
  6. Inspect the air cleaner element for dust, dirt, water and replace if required.
  7. Remove any loose debris that may be found laying in the base of the air cleaner assembly housing.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 869198  Size: SH
  1. Install the air filter element into the air cleaner assembly.
  2. Install the air cleaner element cover.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the air cleaner element cover wing screws.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.5N·m (13 lb in).

  6. Install the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .
