J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
2. Disconnect the air cleaner assembly and position out of the way.



3. Remove the coolant reservoir nuts and bolts.
4. Remove the coolant hose using the J 38185 .



5. Remove the coolant reservoir from the vehicle.

1. Install the coolant hose to the reservoir using the J 38185 .



2. Install the coolant reservoir.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Install the coolant reservoir mounting nuts and bolts.

Tighten

•	Tighten the coolant reservoir mounting bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

•	Tighten the coolant reservoir mounting nuts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

4. Reposition the air cleaner.
5. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
