3800 OIL PRESSURE ERRATIC DISPLAYS HIGH (TOOL INFO)

SUBJECT: 3800 OIL PRESS.ERRATIC - DISPLAYS HIGH (TOOL INFORMATION CHANGE)

MODELS AFFECTED: 1991 PARK AVENUE/ULTRA WITH (UB3) 1991 RIVIERA/REATTA 1990-91 REGAL WITH (UB3) (U21)

This bulletin is being revised to change the Tool Information section. Please discard Bulletin 91-6D-3B.

CONDITION:

----------- Some of the above listed vehicles may experience a condition where the oil pressure gage may be erratic or display very high pressures. This is due to an internal intermittent contact within the sending unit.

CORRECTION:

----------- To correct the above condition, replace the oil pressure sender with part number 25605389.

Parts are expected to be available on December 2, 1991. In case of limited inventory, parts will be placed on 400 control to waive VIP surcharges. Only verifiable emergency VIP orders will be accepted. SPO will make every effort to obtain parts. However, the part will be shipped premium transportation at dealer's expense and all other order types will be placed on backorder until the 400 control is removed.

TOOL INFORMATION:

To install the sensor, use J39228 that was mailed as part of the 1991 Essential Tool Package. (Mailed June '91)
