Preliminary Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant from the air conditioning (A/C) system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
  2. Important: Seal the A/C system ports after the hose is removed in order to keep A/C system from being contaminated.

  3. Remove the injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement
  4. Remove the upper tie bar. Refer to Front End Upper Tie Bar Replacement .

A/C Evaporator Hose Retaining Nut

Tighten
16 N·m (12 lb ft)

Sealing Washer

Tip
Remove and discard the sealing washer. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement

A/C Evaporator Hose Retaining Bolt

Tighten
6 N·m (53 lb in)

A/C Evaporator Hose Retaining Nut

Tighten
16 N·m (12 lb ft)

Sealing Washer

Tip
Remove and discard the sealing washer. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement
