Makes 🢒 Buick 🢒 2006 🢒 Lucerne 🢒 Transmission/Transaxle 🢒 Automatic Transaxle - 4T80-E 🢒 Output Shaft Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the differential carrier. Refer to Differential Carrier Replacement .
  3. Remove the left drive axle. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 11843 Size: SH
  4. Push on the output shaft in order to expose the snap ring. Remove the output shaft snap ring (56).
  5. Remove the left side differential gear (118). Remove the thrust washer (117).

    6. Object Number: 687600 Size: SH
  6. Remove the output shaft (57) through the opposite end of the case.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 15507 Size: SH
  1. Inspect the output shaft (57) splines for burrs or damage. Inspect the snap rings (56) for overexpansion.

    2. Object Number: 15510 Size: SH
  2. Install the snap rings (56) onto the output shaft and install the output shaft (57) from the channel plate side of the transmission.
  3. Install the differential carrier. Refer to Differential Carrier Replacement .
  4. Install the left drive axle. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement .
