- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Connect a fused jumper from the memory seat/mirror module diagnostic
connector to ground.
| • | The connector may be taped up into the body harness. |
| • | The memory seat/mirror module will beep once in order to acknowledge
entrance into the mode 1 diagnostics. |
- Operate the LH seat switch in all directions. (The module will
beep once for each switch input received.)
- Any time a switch is operated and the module does not beep, the
module did not receive an input from that switch.
Were there any switch operations where the memory seat/mirror module
beeped?

- Remove ground from the memory seat/mirror module diagnostic connector.
After 5 seconds the module will sound 3 beeps to indicate that
the module has left the diagnostic mode.
- Disconnect the LH seat switch.
- Connect a DMM from the suspect memory seat/mirror module connector
cavity to ground.

between the non-functioning seat motor and the memory seat/mirror module.
