Preliminary Procedure Remove the left side trim panel. Refer to Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement.
1	Liftgate Actuator Rod Warning: When a lift gate hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury. Procedure Release the locking tabs on the actuator rod. Calibrate the liftgate. Refer to Liftgate Calibration.
