BROKEN FORWARD CLUTCH HOUSING 350C AND 350 TRANSMISSION

CONDITION:

FATIGUE OF FORWARD CLUTCH HOUSING RESULTING IN NO FORWARD OR REVERSE OPERATION. SEE ILLUSTRATION. CAUSE: EXCESSIVE PINION PIN RUNOUT IN THE OUTPUT CARRIER. RECOMMENDED REPAIR: INSPECT FOR AND REPLACE ALL WORN BUSHINGS, ESPECIALLY THE INPUT RING GEAR BUSHING, GROUP 4.158, PART NUMBER 8641117. REPLACE THE BROKEN FORWARD CLUTCH HOUSING, GROUP 4.169, PART NUMBER 360943. INPUT SHAFT CAN BE PRESSED OUT OF OLD HOUSING AND REUSED. IN MAKING THE ABOVE REPAIRS THE OUTPUT CARRIER, GROUP 4.175, PART NUMBER 1250023 MUST BE REPLACED TO ELIMINATE THE POSSIBILITY OF A RECURRENCE OF THIS CONDITION.
