DOOR EDGE PROTECTOR REMOVAL (ASSY. PLANT INSTALLED)

Subject: DOOR EDGE PROTECTORS MARRING PAINT (ASSEMBLY PLANT INSTALLED)

Models Affected: ALL 1991 AND 1992 MODELS

All Buick dealers are advised to remove the (assembly plant installed) temporary door edge protectors upon receiving delivery of new vehicles. These protectors should also be removed from any vehicles remaining in dealer inventory.

A recent investigation indicates that some of these protectors may have excessive clamp force and may mark the paint if left in place.

Your cooperation in removing these protectors will reduce potential paint damage and enhance customer satisfaction.
