  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. While observing the turn signal lights, move the turn signal switch to the left position and then the right position.
  3. The turn signal lamps should turn on and off when the turn signal switch is in either the left or the right turn position.

Inspect for powertrain control module (PCM) diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). Refer to Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check in Engine Controls - 2.5L (LB8) and 3.0L (L46).

The turn signal reminder is inoperative due to a malfunction of the turn lamps. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems in Lighting Systems for further diagnosis and repair of the turn lamps.

The turn signal reminder is inoperative due to a malfunction of the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) circuit. Refer to Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check in Engine Controls - 2.5L (LB8) and 3.0L (L46) for further diagnosis and repair of the VSS.

  1. Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.
  2. Perform the Setup New BCM procedure. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Body Control System.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Connect the connectors and reinstall the components that were removed.
