Was the Audible Warning System Check performed?

  1. Connect a scan tool to the data link connector (DLC).
  2. Use the scan tool in order to monitor the key in the switch input.
  3. Fasten and release the driver's seat belt while observing the scan tool.
  4. Close all of the vehicle doors.

Does the scan tool indicate the seat belt input is inactive with the driver's seat belt unfastened?

  1. Turn the ignition to the LOCK position.
  2. Ensure that the driver's seat belt is unfastened.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position while performing the following steps:
  4. • Observing the fasten belts indicator
    • Listening to the chime

Did the fasten seat belt chime sound for 4-8 seconds and the indicator lamp turns on for 63-77 seconds?

  1. Ensure that the seat belt is unfastened.
  2. Using a test light, backprobe between B+ and the BCM connector C1 terminal C11.

Does the test light illuminate?

  1. Disconnect the driver's seat belt switch electrical connector.
  2. Use a test light in order to connect between B+ and the driver's seat belt switch harness connector B (male side of the connector).

Does the test light illuminate?

Use a DMM in order to measure the resistance between the driver's seat belt switch connector terminals A and B.

Is the resistance measured equal to the specified value?

2 ohms

  1. Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.
  2. Perform the Setup New BCM procedure. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Body Control System.

Repair a poor connection or an open in circuit 750.
