Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 381863  Size: SH
  1. Remove the adjuster track covers. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement .
  2. Move the seat forward to between the mid-position and full forward and also the full-up position.
  3. Remove the headrest. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  4. Remove the seat adjuster to floor pan bolts.
  5. Tip the seat forward and remove the front seat retractor side belt nut from the front seat. Refer to the following procedures:
  6. •  Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Right Front in Seat Belts
    •  Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Left Front in Seat Belts
  7. Remove the power seat electrical connector, if equipped.
  8. Tip the seat forward to remove it from the front hook attachments.
  9. Remove the seat from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the front seat in the vehicle.
  2. Tip the seat forward and engage the front hook attachments.
  3. Install the seat belt to the front seat track. Refer to the following procedures:
  4. •  Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Right Front in Seat Belts
    •  Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Left Front in Seat Belts
  5. Install the power seat electrical connector, if equipped.
  6. Snap the track covers onto the adjusters. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement .
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the seat adjuster to floor pan bolts.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the adjuster to floorpan bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  10. Move the seat to its original position.
  11. Install the headrest. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
