APPLICATION: 1992-93 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS AND BUICK CENTURY "A" CARS.

THE FOLLOWING REVISIONS SHOULD BE MADE TO SECTION 1B OF THE 1992-93 BUICK CENTURY AND OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS CIERA/CUTLASS CRUISER.

1992 MODEL YEAR

1B-7 UNDER THE TITLE "RELAYS AND SWITCHES", THE PARAGRAPH "HIGH- PRESSURE COMPRESSOR CUT-OUT SWITCH" IS FOR THE 3.3L ENGINE ONLY.

1B-7 UNDER THE TITLE THAT READS "PRESSURE CYCLING SWITCH", IT SHOULD INDICATE THAT IT IS FOR THE 3.3L ENGINE ONLY.

1B-45 THE PARAGRAPH THAT READS "LOW-PRESSURE COMPRESSOR CUT-OUT SWITCH" SHOULD READ "HIGH-PRESSURE COMPRESSOR CUT-OUT SWITCH" (3.3L ENGINE ONLY).

1B-45 THE PARAGRAPH THAT READS "HIGH-PRESSURE COMPRESSOR CUT-OUT SWITCH" SHOULD READ "HIGH/LOW-PRESSURE COMPRESSOR CUT-OUT SWITCH" (2.5L ENGINE ONLY).

1993 MODEL YEAR

1B-6 UNDER THE TITLE "RELAYS AND SWITCHES", DISREGARD THE PARAGRAPH "LOW-PRESSURE CUT-OUT SWITCH" (LG7) AND REFER TO "PRESSURE CYCLING SWITCH" (LG7 ONLY).

1B-45 THE PARAGRAPH THAT READS "PRESSURE CYCLING SWITCH" SHOULD INDICATE THAT IT IS FOR THE 3.3L ENGINE ONLY.

1B-46 THE PARAGRAPH THAT READS "LOW-PRESSURE COMPRESSOR CUT-OUT SWITCH" SHOULD READ "HIGH-PRESSURE COMPRESSOR CUT-OUT SWITCH" (3.3L ENGINE ONLY).

SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE - SECTION 8A - ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSIS (AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR CONTROLS V6 (VIN N) A/C LOW PRESSURE CUT-OUT SWITCH) - INCORRECT COMPONENT NAME AND VARIANCE READING.

THE A/C LOW PRESSURE CUT-OUT SWITCH IS NOW CALLED A/C PRESSURE CYCLING SWITCH, ITS VARIANCES SHOULD READ AS FOLLOWS:

OPENS BELOW 172 KPA (25 PSI) CLOSED ABOVE 317 KPA (46 PSI)

THIS INFORMATION SHOULD REPLACE THE INFORMATION CONCERNING THE A/C LOW PRESSURE CUT-OUT SWITCH FOUND IN CELL 64 (V6 VIN N).

PLEASE UPDATE YOUR RESPECTIVE SERVICE MANUAL ACCORDINGLY.
