TIMING CHAIN DAMPNER REQUIREMENT INFORMATION

THE "STATIONARY" TIMING CHAIN DAMPNER WHICH WAS DISCONTINUED IN PRODUCTION IN 1981, ON THE ABOVE ENGINES, IS NO LONGER REQUIRED ON ANY ENGINE WITH THE ABOVE VIN CODES. THE DAMPNER IS, HOWEVER, STILL REQUIRED ON ENGINES WITH VIN CODE C (1977 AND PRIOR YEARS).
