Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the left tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  3. Remove engine splash shield.
  4. Position a transmission jack under the transaxle.

  5. Object Number: 630964  Size: SH
  6. Remove the transaxle mount upper nuts from the transaxle bracket.
  7. Carefully raise the transaxle assembly.

  8. Object Number: 462438  Size: SH
  9. Remove the transaxle mount lower nuts from the frame.
  10. Remove the transaxle mount from the frame.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 462438  Size: SH
  1. Position the transaxle mount to the frame.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the transaxle mount lower nuts to the frame.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the transaxle mount lower nuts to 63 N·m (46 lb ft).

  5. Lower the transaxle so the transaxle mount studs install into the transaxle bracket.

  7. Install the transaxle mount upper nuts to the transaxle mount.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the transaxle mount upper nuts to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).

  9. Remove the transmission jack from the transaxle.
  10. Install engine splash shield.
  11. Install the left wheel and tire assembly.
  12. Lower the vehicle.
