Connector End View Reference: Engine Control Module Connector End Views for the 3.6L engine or Powertrain Control Module Connector End Views for the 3.8L engine

NOTE: The low engine oil level indicator is also used as the change engine oil indicator. When the indicator is flashing a low engine oil level condition is present and when solid and not flashing the engine oil needs to be changed.

Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

  1. Turn ON the ignition.
  2. With the scan tool, observe the Engine Oil Level Switch parameter in the ECM/PCM Data List or the IPC ECM/PCM Data Lists.

Does the Engine Oil Level Switch parameter display OK?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

Replace the instrument panel cluster (IPC). Refer to Control Module References for replacement, setup, and programming.

Did you complete the replacement?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
